I have the greatest pleasure in announcing that Sebastian Wilkinson, of the UK, has been awarded the prestigious title of Grandmaster (Class 3), following his devastatingly brilliant performance at the recent BMAB Ranking Tournament at Long-Eaton, UK. He aggregated an astonishing PR score of 2.72 in the two-day event comprising six 11-point matches. This score is the greatest achieved over a 2-day event by a clear margin.
We’re delighted to announce the schedule for the UKBGF Tour for the coming year. eleven of your favourite events return and are joined by another new one!
You can find the full list of events here – as you’ll see, we pay our first visit to the historic university city of Cambridge where we have a wonderful riverside venue for the weekend. Do sign up early, as many of the tournaments are likely to be fully subscribed – indeed Blackpool already has a small waiting list and you will have to hope for a drop-out to get a place; Liverpool and West Yorkshire are also filling up fast.
